Your Shopping Superpower: Follow your values and better your world one purchase at a time – Diane Osgood, 2025

Your Shopping Superpower is a compendium of resources to help shop more sustainably. It sets out why sustainable shopping matters and how to spot greenwashing.

Amid ongoing economic instability, environmental breakdown and rapid societal change, where we spend our money matters more than ever. Fortunately, making choices that reflect our personal values, particularly if we are worried about the climate crisis and social inequality, is easy when we know how.

Diane Osgood is here to help. With a PhD in Environmental Economics, for the past 30 years she has advised businesses, governments and private individuals on how to create sustainable products and services that help both people and planet.

Your Shopping Superpower is a compendium of resources to help us shop more sustainably. Osgood sets out why sustainable shopping matters and how to spot greenwashing. The book is packed with easy-to-follow advice that doesn’t just aid more conscious shopping, but also helps keep living costs down over the longer term.

Having first met Diane in 2022 on the Carbon Almanac project, I am a huge fan. At a time when it’s easy to feel both overwhelmed by and despondent about the crises ahead, being able to make a difference – however small – wherever we can, is a huge boost.
